Temporary regular students can also apply for an international student room provided by Arnhem Business School! This can be done on the bottom of the page 'Application procedure'.
International students, who are looking for accommodation in Arnhem, can register for a room using a system that is also used by Dutch students. You can find advertisements for student accommodation offered by several housing associations in the Arnhem region on the Entree website.
How to register as an accommodation seeking student?
The easiest way to register as an accommodation seeking student is on the Entree website. Alternatively it is also possible to use the registration form here. You need to complete, print, sign and send it to one of the housing associations in Arnhem. The addresses are available on this form. The registration form is also available at the housing associations in Arnhem.
After confirmation of your subscription you can respond to advertisements for student accommodation. Registration as an accommodation seeking student is free of charge. When you are already registered as an accommodation seeking student, you can also use the registration form to pass on changes in you registration.
If you want to be registered as an accommodation seeking student when still living abroad, you can send the completed registration form to the school which you (will) attend. The school will draw up a testimony in which they declare that you will attend the study and they will send the testimony together with your registration form to one of the housing associations in Arnhem. When you complete the registration form you should fill in the address of your school as current and post address, because foreign addresses cannot be registered in the system. It is preferable that you also mention your regular post address, e-mail address and telephone number where you can be reached.
How to apply for student accommodation?
You can respond to a student accommodation advertisement on the Entree website. Every week you can respond to two different advertisements. All responses have to be received the Monday after publication of EntreeMagazine (the Thursday before) before 10:00 a.m. by one of the different housing associations in Arnhem. Your application will not be dealt with if it comes in after 10:00 on Monday.
Students can also apply for non-student accommodation advertised on the Entree website or in EntreeMagazine containing pictures of different types of accommodation. But in general that means you have to be registered for a much longer period. For student accommodation there is a waiting period of about 8 to 12 months. But do not hesitate; fill in the registration form so that you are registered as an accommodation seeking student as soon as you can.
What happens if you get a message stating that you are first on the list for a student room?
When you receive a letter from one of the housing associations in Arnhem a week after you have sent in a response coupon for 1 or 2 advertisements for the accommodation you preferred, you are the one with the longest registration period. In this letter the housing association will be offering you a room that you can look at, and then you have 3 days to think about it and decide whether or not you accept the offer. If you do not accept, this will have no influence on your registration period or future chances.
