Types of housing

Since 1997 Vivare provides housing for international students. The rooms are reserved for students of Arnhem Business School (ABS). The rooms differ in price, size and location in Arnhem. What all our rooms  have in common is that they are furnished with a bed, desk, chairs, wardrobe, curtains and carpet. Vivare does not provide pillows, sheets and covers or quilts. The kitchens are soberly equipped with a stove, refrigerator and dustbin. Please note that noise pollution in our accommodation is not permitted. It should be quiet between 22pm and 8am. At Honigkamp internet is provided by ABS. At Leeuwensteinplein internet is provided by Vivare. The Tower and the apartments do not have internet. You have to arrange this yourself. During contract signing we will give you advise. The total rent for the semester varies per accommodation/ room and ranges between € 1400,- and € 3000,- (exclusive deposit). The deposit for Honigkamp is € 500,- and for other complexes it is momentarily € 350,-. No rights can be reserved in the mentioned prices on this website.

Be aware that you can provide us with a preference for housing during your application. This does not mean that you will be appointed your room of preference. It is not always possible to fulfil all wishes as there may be more students interested than rooms available in each type of accommodation.

There are four types of housing:

De Honigkamp once was a residence for the elderly. In 1998 Vivare transformed it into a student hostel with 90 rooms. There are 6 stories; 15 rooms, two shared bathrooms and two shared kitchens per storey. In the basement Honigkamp provides a laundrette with two washing machines and a dryer. The machines are all operated by tokens that you can buy at the caretaker's office. There is a wireless internet connection for all students in the main building which is provided by ABS (the charge is already included in the rent). At the back of Honigkamp there are a few litlle houses ment for two students. The two rooms are approximately 10 and 15 m2. Kitchen en toilet are shared. Unfortunately there is no internet. Laundry should be done at a launderette. This type of housing is located in an apartment building also occupied by families, couples, ect. The apartments are situated in the neighbourhood of "Presikhaaf" in Arnhem, which is within walking distance of Arnhem Business School and the Presikhaaf shopping centre.
